Default scratched windshield??

Does anyone know if there is a way to buff or polish out fine scratches on glass (my widshield). I used one of those bug sponges the other day and it must have had some sand or small rocks on it and now my whole windshield is full of very fine scratches. I really dont want to have to buy a new one!!

try toothpaste (no chit) or maybe some of the mother mag and wheel polish. it is in a small white plastic can with a red label. it works great cleaning up headlights.

My buddy has a professional glass polishing system. As long as you can't feel the scratches with your fingernail they can be polished out. He runs a windshield repair service so you might check with that type of business in your area and see if any of 'em have the polishing equip.
