Smile S-10 no start/Help needed

I have a problem with a s-10 truck i bought for my daughters first truck, It ran great, then i drove it to the store and It would not go above 70 mph floored, okay it;s a filter, then at the store parked at idle it started tacking up to 3 grand and acted like someone cut the key off and then back on agian, I just turned it on did my shopping and started it back up and all is well.
Got it home and it ran great....the next day it was dead and will not start. I have, fire, fuel pressure it good, fire at coil, fire at plugs, no codes, . I t will start but no run when I hooked the jumpers to it,start for a brief second then die quickly....ANY IDEAS WILL HELP OUT!!!!!!
how do you know if the computer has crapped out?????? Thanks for the help..

Update on the no start.....Ignition switch needed to be replaced, so I replaced it and did a computer relearn. Runs like a champ....next tune-up and for sell.
