how the **** is it half assed if they are all in, bled, and snapped in the factory clips and all in the factory locations?

half assed is trying to tighten fittings with all the other lines in the way. On the ABS module, you can use a regular wrench, but at minimum you should have a flare nut wrench, You install and tighten the top right line near the frame rail first, and install them out and away from that one, and tighten as you go. No need to go buy crows feet, and strip your nuts doing it.

Half assed.... Really???

Crows feet line wrenches are quite helpful with the lines on the abs module...

No need to fight over it. We don't need to be calling anyone's work half assed when we never seen it before. If he did it in 3 hours and it's fine and safe and things are hooked up in the factory location then that's good. We all take different amounts of time to do things. No need to rush to accusations of bad worksmenship.

As an update I got my poly body bushings in last night. Big difference between the new ones and the old ones on the truck. Looks like I'm going to gain about 2 inches at least so it'll make the job a lot easier.

This weekend when I have time off work I'm going to install the body bushings and attempt to do the front brake lines again. I'll take pictures of before and after with the body bushings.

Thanks,
Mike

I think you will be pleasantly surprised how much easier it will be with the body sitting up on the new mounts!

Well I trailered the truck to the shop so I wasn't working on my back.

First thing that went wrong was summit sent me the wrong body bushings. Figured whatever it's just a mistake.

Pulled the bed off easily enough and found more rust then I wanted too. Started running brake lines waiting on the rust dissolver to work.

Jacked the cab up on the driver side about 4 inches and started pulling the old brake lines. Rusted and rotted don't describe these old brake lines. Looks like they belonged back in the 1920s. They literally crumbled and fell apart as I pulled them out.

Started running the new lines and it was going good. Then I got everything back to the ABS and two lines won't thread in. I need to angle them so slightly but there's no room to do it.

Plus my cab corner on the drivers side fell off, whoever owned it before fiber glassed it before. Found so much rust under there I think it made a junkyard clunker look good.

This truck really is trying to be the bane of my existence. After messing around for 2 hours trying to get those lines to thread in I said screw it. Well not very calmly I should say. Feeling better now that there's 20 miles between me and that damn truck.

Managed to get them today and bled so all is well.

Next project is new front calipers, install my Russell brake hose kit then body work and paint and some new rims and tires!

I don't think I ever want to install brake lines again on one of these. Thank god the stainless lines will last longer then the truck
