Default Replace Power Window Acculator ?

Anyone done this on their truck ..... I tried to replace just the motor and that went belly Up when I looked in the door and the cables were all jacked up when I took the motor out... so for 15 dollars more you can get the whole assembly with the motor installed.... so I went that route just looking for tips if there is any for doing this JOB

Make sure you re-seal the dust cover (or whatever they call the sheet of plastic under the inner panel) as well as possible. This will help prevent moisture from condensing on the mechanism in the winter.

Thanks I resealed it........... the job was too easy....

what I learned:

Never buy the motor separate... it is too easy to replace the whole regulator /w motor... than just the motor and everything is all brand new

I have replaced the motor only on my passanger side window a few months back. It was definatly a headache but I got it in the end (and also picked up a 12 pack afterwards). If my drivers side ever out im probably going to just replace the whole regulator instead of just the motor. Good to hear its back up and running. Nothings worse than loosing a power window and then forgeting about it when you roll up to a fast food joint.

Yeah I live on the Base so you have to go thru the check point gate and show your ID CARD 4-5 times a day the regulator is much easier to replace than just the motor since the motor screws are on the back and the regulator with the motor is around the same price as the stand alone motor
