remove gas from tank

what's the best way to do this. i'm planning on going to the track tomorrow but i have way too much gas in the tank. let me know yall's ideas. later... lance

i figured that out about the siphoning, lol...that's what i was thinking, disconnect the fuel line and let the fuel pump run. there's so many lines down there i wouldn't know which one to disconnect. i'll take a look at it some more. thanks for the replies guys...

You need to watch out though and not burn up your pump it is going to be flowing a **** load of fuel with no backpressure. When the fuel level gets low they start to overheat due to being cooled by the fuel. A GM tech told me that was the main cause for the fuel pumps burning up was that they were getting hot and that happens when they dont ahve alot of fuel to disperse the heat shitty design IMO.

i'm cheap. i tried the hose out the filter then turning on the key to kick the fuel pump on. it just says on for a couple of seconds like it usually does normally. it doesn't stay on...

I figured thats what would happen but didnt want to say it. You only here it come on for a few seconds then go off after you turn the key. Hell put you a peticock valve in the bottom of it
