Once you lose respect for it, its time to move up in cc's or do some modding.

Tim, the bike is falling through, especially with this move. They both, the owner and the painter are slacking and just don't give a f... So if its being painted, f em. They have taken over 2 months to get this going, hell longer than that I suppose. Oh well, there loss. Besides I want a ZX10R now
My first bike was a kwak so I kinda want to stick with it. Besides the 10R is the new top dog, well according to numbers and I want the best.

I used to love bikes until I saw a bike hit a couple on another bike. I sold my R1 and bitched and moaned until my parents sold their Harley. I just learned that my fiances family is selling their Goldwing as well. I love them, but there are too many retards, retirees, and ******** around me. My truck may not be that quick, but I will be fine in just about any reasonable accident. We are checking out a C32 AMG for my fiance. That is probably the only little toy I'll ever buy. A bike purchase is something where you need to take a good look at the Pro's and Con's. The accident I saw would have dented a door panel on a car. Two people were killed. One bleed to death while I pulled his motorcycle out of the intersection.
I hope you make an informed/ educated decision.

[QUOTE=Slowverado]my bet on the original topic is that NEITHER will happen. hell, you told me you already had a 6.0 for your ride what happened to that? either way, your motor will remain stock, and you wont have a bike.[/QUOTE}

Look at this ********, yes I did have a complete 6.0 and sold it to one of the local rock crawler guys in town. I have another that was pulled out { well whats left} of a denalli. It has one broken rod and the block is busted but has a good crank and set of heads. tHEY WILL BE FOR SALE AS SOON AS i GET THEM CHECKED OUT. SINCE YOU CAN'T MAKE YOUR TRUCK FAST YOU HAD TO BUY SOMETHING SOMEONE ELSE DID ALL THE WORK ON.. I can't wait till you work on this one to screw it up to.

The ZX-10R is top dog in a straight line, but they say the R1 is the top dog on the track. And its suprising being the GSX-R is around 10hp less than the Kawa and Yama, yet its still giving both of them an amazing run (for comming in last in the liter bike comparision )

Im a Gixxer fan through and through, so i'll sing their praise all day, but i just cant get into the new ZX-10R. I'd rather have an R1 vs a ZX. But thats just me. They all are beasts and are all pulling high 9s in the 1/4 mile (well, the CBR is a 10.1 but throw on a sticky and ride right and im sure a 9.9x is accomplished) I dont think you can go wrong on any liter bike, as long as you have the experience to control a 150+hp ~400lb missile.

Hmmmm... I just to happen to be selling a nice '00 R1.

Me, I'm all for the motor.

Sportbikes are fun and all, but DIRT BIKES are the way to go if you want to have fun with little respect for the bike. (here I am saying that with a busted forearm from a race recently).

The plus side to streetbikes are all of the little hooches who want rides. The downside is that everyone who "needs a way to be cool" has one, regardless if they can ride or not. You run into all kinds of yahoo's. Lots and lots of them do ricer mods which'll make you puke.

For what it's worth, I sqeak 51mpg out of the R1. (21 out of the truck.)

I'm so bored of the bike. In order to have fun on it, I either have to double the speed limit, or hang wheelies everywhere. Otherwise it's a torture rack. It's like doing a single pushup the whole time you're on the bike. Granted the R6's are more comfortable.

If I get another bike for the street, it'll probably be on a dual sport. A DR650, DRZ400S. Maybe an Aprilia Tuono, maybe a H-D Deuce. I've got an old H-D Sporty handed down to me a few years back. The thing is a hoot.

tHANKS MUD.... It is getting hard to decide. I found a 422 short block super cheap. That was going to be my down payment on the bike.

hmm, I thought there was oil consumption problems with 422's. I would be leary with that size of a bore. Stick with the tried and true 408 which is what everyone wants to go with. It would be a tough decision but for me it would definately be the bike. I am slowly dumping money in to my truck. It'll just be a little slower once I get the bike. If you do get the motor, you would need to think about the trans too unless you have done that already.
