:hmm: Mine smokes like a bitch after you crank it up after running hard, but its oil. I had a friend who had a dogde and white smoked all the time. finally it got so bad motor failed, had to replace motor because of bad head gasket and a warped head i think. overheated and fried motor

Next time you start it up, smell your exhaust. Should be pretty easy to tell if its oil or coolant. Just because your heads are not cracked does not mean they aren't warped. If your exhaust smells like coolant when it first starts up, I would pull the heads and have them checked for cracks and deck flatness at a professional shop.

So just incase what are some tests and stuff I can run. I added a quart of oil and hasn't been over 1000a miles since my last oil change. The coolant is still fine. But I pulled the oil cap off and there was a milky thickish substance on it and looked like condensation on the top? I might as well start at square one and try and figure it out. Also if the heads warped what's the best thing to do? And if its cracked what's the beat way to go? Thanks guys ill check on a bunch only got 2the days off that ls for the help...

2004 gmc sierra 5.3 ext cab 4x4, CAI. Ebay longtubes, TB spacer, Nelson Tune, TR 220 cam on 114 lsa, hardened push rods new valve seals, ls7 lifters, Ls7 springs. and Tbss injectors. It idles at 600ish.... ?
