Default question about my throttle body spacer

my truck had a helix throttle body spacer on it when i bought it. i never took it off because ive never heard of any performance losses. today i took off my throttle body and was looking at the throttle body spacer. i laid it on top of the throttle body and the "threads" stick up into the port on the throttle body. it seems like it would hurt airflow?

if there are any reports of it hurting performance im guna take it off. i really dont want to because it makes that cool *** whistle

when you get the kit does it replace the bolts with longer ones? i dont have the stock bolts to put back in if they do...

I had one on my 04. I think all it did was make a noise. and yes, the kit does come with different bolts.

Default tb spacer

I took mine off yesterday along with my Gran mass air I don't know which one it was but my truck runs a hell of alot better now that whistling got on my nerves but the kit comes with longer bolts and mine had studs in it from the factory. you could probably get shorter bolts or carb studs @ autozone to make it work.

or i can sell it to the kid across the street and take his bolts...

are there any reported performance losses that was caused by a spacer? i always figured it just made noise and didnt effect performance.
