Default problems with my odometer, need help...

for the last few days or so i have been having this problem with my odometer. it won't come on for maybe like 15-20 minutes. everything works just fine on my guage cluster but that part. the electronic reading of what gear i am in and the odometer reading does not come on. it's completely black. then all of a sudden it will come on just fine.

do you think it could be blown fuse? my car alarm messing it up? computer malfuction? could my speed sensors be messing it up? it's the original gauge cluster and i have never messed with it before. has anyone else had this problem?

what can i do to fix this besides going to the dealership? thanks for the help...

its in your guage cluster. your speed sensor is not related. pull your dash apart, pull your guages withthose 4 lil bolts and get it out of your dash. clean up all of the little contacts on the guages and plug the best you can and maybe throw on a LITTLE electrical contact grease and plug it back in snug. if your lucky it will work out for you. thats what i did when my gear selector lights were coming on and off allwierd. no probs since.

well i checked the connections and it looked pretty good. however, it is still doing it. what other problems could there be? it seems like only happens when my night time driving lights come on. any other ideas would help. thanks....
