i think you should be able to pull it off. now if sales suddenly go through the roof then it may be a little harder. do you have a gm card?

I'm glad you can get deals. I was willing to pay the employee discount price on a Dmax back in the summer but the dealers here in SETex would not deal on a trade. Low wholesale was all they would talk and if you didn't like the it too bad. It was take it or leave it.

I really want a 1500 4wd Vmax but not available here and probably no dealing if it were.

What is wrong with low wholesale for the trade if they already have theres discounted for a cash price?

I guess I can't see giving my truck away. I took my truck and had it aprased(sp) and also looked online to find the wholesale, trade in and retail price and the price the dealer offered was $5000 less than the lowest price I was given. Then they wanted to add the payoff of my truck onto the price of the new truck so the price of the GMEP truck was more than the original MSRP. I don't mind a dealer making a profit but not stealing my truck.
I did my homework and worked what I thought was a fair deal on my truck. I paid $10K off MSRP then. I guess you have to pay half MSRP now to not be upside down on your note.

Sorry for the rant!

You cant blame them for what you owe, thats how its done, add your payoff to the difference, its your pay off it could have been less had you made bigger payments. You truck is worth, what someone is willing to pay, retail it out of the newspaper or go to a independent dealer and have them buy it outright.I dont know your market and your truck could be soft there, maybe find a dealer outside your state in a better market.
