Possibly buying a used 2002 2500HD... what to inspect?
This is at a reputable local truck center. They offer a 30-day, 1000mile warranty and a 15-day return policy.
What mileage should I not consider buying a used truck (wheter it be a 2500HD, 1500HD, F-250, etc)? Should I be looking at anything specific on this vehicle which is a common complaint and/or failure point?

Check the bed for cracks if it had/has an over-the-bedrails toolbox on it.
There was a recall on the tailgate cables snapping, check to see if they are OK.
If it's a diesel, check the service history on it to see if it's been in for injector replacement. If it has close to or over 100K on it, I would not even look at it.
