real close to having the old beast ready to sell and once again thinking about my options, whatever it is it will be ls1 based and AWD/4wd.
what about a 98 or newer 4wd s10, droped a little with some kind of killer motor set up, i could keep the FLP tranny i have, probabbly take an s10 well into the 10's. might be more fun to drive than a 2500HD too, i hear the s10's handle prety well. i know lingerfilder did one awhile back, something like that. not sure if it would be a turbo set up or something like a 422 with a BIG nitrous set up.
what do you all think?

YES!! I personally will never do another conversion but, I would love to see this done.
Keep it simple and just do the big motor with nitrous. There will not be much room in the engine compartment for extras such as blowers or tubing.
Now I start to think about it though and wonder why not just do a full size truck(RCSB) with the same setup. You bypass all headaches from doing a conversion since the motor is a direct swap and only pick up ~1000lbs nothing a little more nitrous can't handle.
A fullsize with the setup you're talking could definately bust 10's.
Just think how easy it was to work on your truck. Now take it from someone who had a small block S10, NOTHING is easy to get to or work on in that engine compartment.
Plus you can use the money you save on conversion parts to throw in a built 4L80E w/controller or a TH400 and gear vendors overdrive.
I guess I still vote for a full size truck. :p

Parish 8 I was thinking something very similar. My plan would be crew cab 2wd s 10 with h/c and 150 shot.Do a 3/5 drop killer wheel and rubber.Ah all the possibilities..........
