He might have the back bars going through over the window. Hard to tell from the picture.

Sounds like Parish reused stock glass w/holes cut out. Is that possible? Or is it due to tempered rear glass? He said Lexan only worth ~2-3#. A cage going thru window does draw unwanted attn. from both COPS & other onlookers. The spec. on rear bars is like 5" or 6" from roofline. Is it possible to have someone (again, I don't know what can be done w/ tempered glass) custom make glass to go under bars. Think of something like the 68-72 Chevy truck( offered both in a small & big window version). Obviously, sheetmetal would need to be carried down to continue lines of truck. I'm not crazy about bars thru rear window for both how it looks & how it seals. But safety comes 1st. Maybe Parish will chime in on nice his rear window seals up around bars? Just thinkin out loud. Glad my truck is slow enuff I don't have to worry.
