Default A-pillar gauges, how did you wire the lights

I've got my tranny temp gauge hooked up already, everything but the light that is in it. I want it to be on only when the headlights are on, what can I tie it into? Or more importantly, where is the easiest place to tie the wire into.

just get a piggy back fuse and put it in the fuse box where the lights fuse is.

At least I think there is a fuse labeled lights...

so the fuse in the panel is after the relay/sensor to turn the lights on when its dark?

Works best on the dimmer, great for night time when Johnny law pulls up next to you or some ricer ***.

I hooked mine up coming out of the headlight switch. I think it was a brown wire. I can look later today.

Brown wire out of the headlight/dimmer module. Then the lights will dim with the dimmer pot.

Wired mine into the headlight switch harness also, it comes on with the lights on and dims with the dimmer switch. Can't remember which wire though (a long time ago), but brown seems to be the concensus.
