Default Penzoil...not bad after all.

Yea, this is about the dodge. Mobil1 for life in the Chevy.

Anyway, I had to replace the valve cover gaskets on the beater the other day. It has 176,xxx miles on it and has never been opened up for anything other than an A/C copressor and conversion to the new freon. Well after about 130k I switched from the standard Penzoil sae 30 to the high mileage formula. This truck has never seen anything but Penzoil. Well, there was absolutly no buildup of anykind in the valvetrain. It actually looked as clean as the Chevy heads. One drawback (that I believe was due to the type of gaskets used factory and Felpro's) was that the milled surface on the heads (gasket sealing surface) looked and felt like 80 grit sandpaper. Oh well, I just put the new ones on anyway, no way I'm pulling heads for that.
