On both my 06 dmax cc and my 01 ec when I open JUST the passenger door the dome light didnt/wont kick on. Wondering if its just the way its wired or a coincedence that both of my trucks dont kick on the dome light. Its really annoying at night when I load the little guy up from the passenger side without any light to see what the hell Im doing.

 

Fairly certain the light comes on in my 02 when I open the pass door. I would have to double check though. Only thing that would make it come on would be the door trigger so thats where I would start.

Yes, the dome light is supposed to turn on with the passengers doors. You're just lucky to have two fucked up trucks. J/k

The switches are built into the latches, pull the door panels & bust out your test light.

 

My Dome light activates when only pass door opens.

I think you have a bad switch . Try spraying wd 40 in it.?

You def. need all the light you can get when loading up the kids, i know. Damn car seats/bases are a pain in the ***!!!!

 

Hmm, I guess Ill have to check the latch out when I get a spare moment.
