Have you removed the pistons yet??
I'm hesitant to put it back together as Thad a few hundred wasted between gaskets and bolts. The pistons are still in, was waitin on a reply as to what to do.

Ok but how do I tell if they're ok and the rings aren't worn? Never done a bottom end before.

I got the pistons out tonight. Can I use brake cleaner to spray in the engine to clean it out and then spray wd40 to give it a coating so it won't rust. I'm wondering if the bearings will be ok with the brake cleaner and wd40. I want to rinse all possible dirt that might have fallen down inside the lifter holes and onto the cam and what not.
