Good thread guys! I bought the last set from an Autozone yesterday. I'm looking for a second set before I install. Inexpensive mod!

How many spring clamps do you need for this? From what I understand its 4? Also, where exactly do you put them on the spring? Very good idea h777, I'm very interested in doing this mod . Might help me get better traction and be better on my rear end too.

look at this picture to see where the clamps go 1 clamp is good but two is better....i use two clamps about 4 inches apart from each other

if you need any more help with traction let me know i have something else that will help....and it's a free mod that works

Also, do they go on the front or the rear of the leaf spring?

The clamp goes on the front leaf spring as far forward as you can get it, I put mine right at the end. If you are going to use two then the second one goes about 4-5" behind the first according to h777.

since our trucks are so light in the rear i add more weight to the back of the truck....keep in mind i like to spray 10 to 15ft out of the hole and this also helps me get 1.7s 60 ft times with a stock suspension

i take the spar tire off pull the valve and let the air out and fill it with 12 gallons of water put the valve back in this adds 85 pounds to the 60 pounds of the spar tire 85+60 =145 extra pounds in the rear of the truck where we need it.....the extra weigh realy helps with traction with my nitrous.....

I never thought of that. Funny, but effective. I like it!
