I cant stand having anything stock. I never really listen to music loud, but couldnt stand the stock HU. When I had that installed they said I couldnt use my factory sub so I bought 2 12W3's. They over powered everything else so I had to get some MB Quartz. I more enjoy the process of upgrading rather than having and using stuff if that makes sense...

I had 2 Solobaric L12s in my S10, it was insane. I opted to just put one in my Denali running off the factory. I sold my deck and other amps and battery cap. Whenever I get some more $$, I want to build the stereo back up again. I have outgrown it, but I still love it

I did the 2 12s deal when I was 18-19 (25 now). Not really my style to go around trying to be cool by cranking the bass. My Bose is good enough for now but I might do something tame on my next ride for better SQ.

from the last 3 vehicles, I've gone from a 12 with the rest of the system being stock, then in the next vehicle there was a 10 and JL coaxials in the doors, and now I have (2) 8" subs with 250rms to each, and JL component speakers in kick panels with 75rms to each side

current sytem has tons of power but the main goal was clarity+punchy bass, and alot of people can't believe they are 8's because they can do punchy stuff as well as deep bass

I've been thinking about adding some 2 way door speakers to go along with the component (3 set) speakers for more mids/highs, but dont feel like messing with it at the time being

I went for a year with out it in my truck and went and bought the cheapist 10"subs, 3 way 6x9's, wannabe 1000watt amp and factory replacment 2 ways in the doors and rear all for under 500. Now I spent 280 on my pioneer screen saver deck but everything else is bottom of the line and sound pretty damn good. I know I will never spend the money I use to in my younger days on a stero system.
