Unhappy Ouch! Will the tire survive or not?

Well I've had a great day today. The icing on the cake was when I performed a Illnali move (hehe), and clipped a square nosed curb at about 10-15mph. Great move ehhh I first played it off and kept driving lol, about 2 minutes later I heard the inevitable flapping noise, and pulled over : I checked it out and the tire was just about flat, and there was about 1/4 inch long sliver in my rear 295/45/20 Toyo S/T's sidewall. I was about 1 1/2 miles from my house, so I tried to creep her on home. The tire now has a slight ring type wear on the side wall. So what's the verdict, is this tire done for, or is repairable??? I'm so god damned frustrated right now, nothing seems to be going my way hell, I just got a nail in my tire a week ago. My poor truck has been beat to death lateyl, and having to replace a $250 dollar tire, when I only have $120 bucks at the moment to spend on gas and food is the last thing I need. Sorry, I just needed to vent, life has just not been going my way lately.

fixing the sidewall...mmm i don't think so. discount tire told me that if they patch it and later on down the road that patch doesn't hold, they're liable. in the tread is one thing but the sidewall, that part of the tire can't take much more than the minor curb check. at least that's what i've been told. other than that, keep your head up man, thing's will turn around.

it is trash. we had a brand new truck about a week old and it had a sliver of wood in the side wall no bigger than a thorn and they said it was junk.

Thanks for the insight guys. I went by a tire shop today, and they also said the tire was trash. Total comes to $302 dollars mounted and balanced for a new one. Someone remind me not to get 20's next time.

I am feelin ya on that one man. I just unloaded 728 bucks for some Nitto 404's, 295/50/20. I got an amazing deal for 170 a piece plus tax (thanks Kevin @ Discount tire direct!) The old GT2's wouldnt have made it until graduation (when I get hopefully tons of money ), so I had to take a loan from my dad for them .
Good luck with it all man, hope your week gets better!
