I dont know about 30K out the door. Last year in december I went and test drove an 04 Ram for the hell of it. Short bed, dually, reg cab, 5.9, manual, otherwise plain. It was going for 44K. I dont think I saw one under that on the lot that had a diesel in it. Course I only went to 1 DC lot.

Doesn't sound like a Diehard chevy fan to me. After a couple of years with that Dodge you will really like chevys. Our '99 is on it's third cummins.Water in the fuel cost $3gs at cummins, $3,500. at the Dodge house. Of our one ton fleet the 6.0 liter powerstroke is by far the king.
Everybody should own a dodge sometime to appreciate a bowtie.

I dis agree. I have had a 8.1 and put a tune on it and all it was sick. I had to down shift to pull a hill fust the truck. My 04 dodge is a hoss. I have had a 450 dozer, a ford 60 hp tractor and a mini escavator on it and ran 75 and 80 the whole way. I am a huge chevy fan, all i ever drove till I bought that dodge. You just can't beat a cummins when it comes to a diesel. As far as the edge setup, don't get me wrong it is a good setup but it has nothing on the bully dog. I sell both setups and the banks, and the hypertech, but all my diesels have the bully dog. If you buy one of the 600 dodges, you can put what is called the crazy larry on it and add 230hp and over 400ftlbs of torque, I just put one on my friend 05 and it will fly. I am sold on the dodge diesel.

Must be something special in Austin, I've checked here in Houston for a 4wd crew-cab Cummins and it was a little over $40K. I got to drive my brother's mother-in-law's '04 Cummins 6-speed, and I must say I was impressed with the engine - too bad it was stuck inside that piece of crap Dodge .

Worked at a Dodge dealer here in Houston for a couple of months the only truck you can get about 30K would be a 2wd , SL pckg, steel wheels with the HO Cummings Diesel. Diehard you are looking at a SLT Laramie with all the prettys there, the sticker you said was at 42K you can get it down to 35-36K ONLY IF YOU ARE SERIOUS AND READY TO BUY THAT DAY!!!! Talk to the sales manager not the salesman they are the ones with the abilities to do whatever. When it comes to a Diesel motor no matter if your a Chevy fan, the cummings is the KING in the 2500/3500 series hands down, IMO of course!!!
