Oil pressure?

I think I will need to start with an oil sending unit on my new to me 10 year old Silverado. Has anyone had one of these fail where the gauge just pegs out at 80 psi hot or cold?

Yeah mine was pegged a80 psi and just replaced the oil sending unit and all good.
