Default Oil leak help

So I was wondering if you guys have had this oil leak. I have a 2000 silverado 1500 with the 5.3L in it. I took off the little plate under the trans to see if it's the rear main but it's dry As a bone. The pan itself is soaked and the starter is soaked so I'm thinking it might be a pan gasket. Are these a common problem on the 5.3s? Also the block off or the oil cooler line looks soaked as well

I'll post pictures when I figure out how to

I just fixed this while my transmission was out, rear main seal was leaking. Oil would hit the flexplate and sling it all around the bellhousing, everything looked dry from the inspection hole but was obvious once the transmission was out.
