Default Oil change and a tapping afterwards ?

So today, I changed my oil filter and added a quart of Mobil 1 5W-30. Got everything buttoned up and started her up. With 20,385 miles on the clock the oil pressure at hot idle was 45-50 psi. Pretty darn good in my book. Anyway I hear a tapping coming from my right cylinder bank around hole number 4, (second from the front). It sounds like a collapsed lifer or the piston slap. So I rev the engine to build a little more oil pressure(around 80 psi at 4,500rpm) and let it back to idle, to see if the noise had gone away and sure enough it did
So, my question is: Has anyone heard of lifters going bad on these trucks?

I've never heard of a lifter NOT going bad on these motors......EVERY ONE I have ever seen or worked on at one point or another has had the tapping-lifter syndrome

At least you made it to 20k miles! My former truck did it after the first oil change at 3k. I got to where I just didn't notice it after awhile.

They are hydraulic lifters and sometimes they bleed down. I would not worry to much about it.

I was under the understanding that the noise was piston slap. Either way, just another noise to me.

Yeah I know they are hydraulic. The odd thing was that I did this change after driving for about 25 miles and the engine never realy had a chance to bleed down. Maybe 10 minutes or so.
