Oil cap flew off?

Oil cap flew off?
Well guys, I have an odd one here..My oil cap apparently flew off sometime in the last 500 miles. Just must have come off and relocated itself stuck on the plastic inner fender well.. theres a bit of oil spattered on my plug wires and other parts but no big mess really.
Those who know me personally know I am **** about such things, and double or triple check things like making sure the oil cap is on after a fill or change, so that pretty much rules out that possibility. And nobody else touches my truck so it wasn't anyone else.
Any ideas? Think it could have vibrated off?

Probably the plastic tab that locks into the cap. Replace the filler neck and see what happens. With big engines, blown oil caps and dipsticks aren't that rare
