Default Ohm range for fuel level sending unit?

Does any one have the spec for the ohm range for the fuel level sending unit. I have a spare one from the bucket I was modifing to fit the walbro pump and wanted to know if I should use it instead of the half working one currently in the truck. From lock to lock, the range reads 39-249 Ohms.

That's right on the nose, my gm manuals list 40-250 ohms. Where are you taking your readings at? You should take them at the cluster if at all possible. I think the cluster is more than likely having the problem......

Awesome, thanks! I was actually taking the readings from the connectors on the sensor it's self. This is the sensor that was on the spare module I am modifing so it is not in the truck yet. I have some splicing to do on the intank harness and was wanting to make sure this sensor was good before I started.
The one in the truck now works fine unless the tank is completely full, then it reads bone dry empty.
