O2 simms for LS1 work for truck?

O2 simms for LS1 work for truck?
I put a set of O2 simms on my buddy's 00 GMC 5.3 and the check engine light came back on after resetting the PCM. Its possible something else is causing it but I was just checking with you guys to see if you had any info. thanks
