What thickness and material? It might take you a couple weeks to weld it all together but you'll be able to pin point your first and last weld :p
.070 6063. I'm pumped to start! I have a few spare pieces cut to practice on and if it looks terrible I will just powder it lol. I'm gonna time myself on how much actual welding time it takes just for fun. When I move to stainless I will do one in stainless as well, stuff like this is more fun than doing 2"x6" coupons over and over and over.

I agree.... I took 2 welding classes at a local Votech. It was worth every penny but I spent virtually every minute welding those coupons.
I really got the most experience from doing a SS turbo hotside on my buddy's LT1 camaro. Heavy wall stainless is pretty forgiving.
You'll have a lot of fun with the intake, IDK how much time you have with alum but it is not nearly as forgiving IMO

I have about 20 hours on aluminum coupons and that is the entirety of my Tig experience so far so this might be a tad overreaching for a beginner project but IDC it's all for fun.
Cannot wait to see the bird **** on a stick welds on that intake.
Ouch! I'm by no means a good welder but I did this on day two and I was proud enough to take a pic. I don't think I will have any bird **** on a stick welds, the good thing about Tig is you can usually fix your mistakes pretty easily and even a bad weld looks better than a stick weld.
