i had my nitrous bottle mounted between my front seats and never had any troubles...a blowdown tube isn't going to make it totally safe in the cab, but a bottle blanket and putting it behind the seat would. having it in the bed is a bad idea if you ask me, especially where you live deckhand...it's just to hot here in texas for that.

Check out this kit. Its super easy to install or uninstall, comes in a neat little carrying bag, and Pewter53 knocked 1.41 seconds off his ET! He went from a 14.52 to a 13.11 with this dry shot! What's not to like? The first link is for the nitrous kit:

and this link is to Pewter53's post about his experience with the kit:

Also if you question heat concern with N20 you should check out NX stuff. They have a fire/ice kit that is a heater/cooler that fits over the bottle on a blanket. It goes off of psi and is gauranteed(sp) to keep it within so many psi of optimal. Its expensive but worth it if its in the bed. You won't have to worry about it, just set it and forget it. As far as kits go, I like NX. I have dealt alot with NX kits and NOS stuff. NX seems to be better quality to me but thats my .02. Plus on the NX kits the remote bottle opener doesn't restrict flow like the NOS opener does. Dry or wet, 4.8 100 would be safe for frequent use. Some use more, some alot more but for reliablity concerns and trans concerns I would stay below 125, here again, my .02.
Also you could get a folding soft toneau cover for when the bed is needed. I use my bed a good amount too and I love my cover. Hardly any weight and easy to uninstall plus its like a trunk, just not lockable.

My kit has evolved into N/X.My bottle is under a rear seat,I don't think you have that option. A bed location in optimal because you can position the bottle forward at incline.Allowing complete nos pick-up. Some tracks want the tank enclosed and vented.
You'll probably like nos, but don't expect"Fast and Furious whiplash".
Where you going to fill your bottle? It's only good for 3 or 4 passes between fills.
so I hope you don't have to go to Boston.
I like a wet shot.
