Hey 02 Denali, have you thought about using an 03+ steering wheel with all the radio controls in it? I don't know if you have one, but if you don't then use the radio controls for all your switches. Very sleeper and stealthly too! It can't be that hard to do, just run all the wires trough the column.

02den, what you can do is use the setup using the WOT switch. Then launch at full throttle (while its disarmed), and when you get moving, 4500 rpms or so, flick the Arming switch, and you will complete the circuit.. as you are already pedal to the metal.. and you'll spray.

yay that sounds good. i am going to order the rpm switch today and go that way. builders---transmission builders is who. when you put it in low it engages the reverse clutch pack and the forward pack to help reduce wear on the tranny. ill see if i can get it explained better. hell with a built 4l80e i shouldnt have to worry about it.

You say that when you put it in low, you mean first gear right? It engages both clutch packs, but is that true only for the 80e, what about the 60e? What about 2nd and 3rd gear? This is pretty interesting, I've never heard this before. I might have to put a ratchet shifter in my truck now!

hey vanilla they are telling me it is only for the first gear launch. after that second and third are different. i thought it was funny to untili started asking. and it holds true for the 80 and 60e's.

if it engages reverse and 1st gear it would be a transmission brake. in which case you would be able to stall the thing higher when it was in 1st than if you had it in D and tried to stall it. it'll be a bit harder on the transmission to use that technique if that is infact the case (doubt that it is though) and you will end up breaking parts sooner using that method.

Ive always thought it was better (more consistent) to put it in 'D' and let the trans do its thing. Maybe line pressure is high in low, reducing slip, and thats why its better for the trans.
