Default new trans temp gauge dosn't work

Well I just bought a Escalade overlay and one stepper motor and buld and I got everything disassembled easy, marked all the needles and soldered the new motor in and I know its installed corectly because it can only go one way and all the points are covered. And I noticed the bulb that I got has a blue housing and I noticed the other gauges have yellow and the ones with the blue are my warning lights. Is this why my light dosn't work or do I have to reprogram my cluster the make the motor work? Sorry for the long post anything helps.

No its not that cold but I think the cluster has to be reprogrammed because I have noticed that when I turn the key forward all the other gauges jump then settle but my trans gauge dosnt even move
