the truck is a 2wd, 5.3, 1500 i just want to do some bolt on's for now a few hundred dollars or so

Intake (K&N, Volant, AEM, etc)
Exhaust
Those are probably the two most popular bolt ons. Then you can get into, Computer Programmers, 160 Thermostat, plug wires, headers, etc.

Air intake and exhaust should be your first mods. They are an EZ way to up your power AND gas milage.
