Well, my factory changer broke about a month ago, and I decided to get a new head unit. I went with an Eclipse 5444 unit, very nice and it absolutely ROCKS my factory speakers and the Kicker solobaric 12 I have behind my seat. All I need now is a nice set of component speakers for the doors and I'll be set....
Heading out to my truck to go to class this morning, I was greeted by my sister who had also just left for school. She had just backed into the right side of my truck. Not a major deal, but a $700 body shop bill. It was only an accident and she is a new driver, I was pissed but I couldn't say anything. Just one of those things, they are just trucks who cares....heres a shot of it.

That's a nice deck
I have the CD8454, well 2 actually and love em.
I highly recomend the Diamond Audio D661 (M661 is old #) for the front doors. We do a TON of GM trucks and those sound really nice in there when hooked up to a quality amp. I have em in my Z71, my T/A, my buddy's 2500HD and my EX's GMC na devery one of em sounds great. You can make them bright like MB Quarts or you can tone them done for a much smoother response AND you can buy them with either Aluminum or Silk tweeters. Awesome speakers for the money.

Focal makes great components. Those would be my other choice if I didn't already have Diamonds. If you get teh chance go listen to both sets with the same CDs and no bass or treble aded. Make sure they are not enhancing the speakers in anyway. Also grab a GOOD disc. Something recorded well. Not the typical rock music or low budget rap. LOL

Good deal. I will keep that in mind. I have a Kicker Solobaric L7 12 behind my seat, and two of the old style Rockford Punch 200x2 amps. Just one on the sub now, and I'll toss the other one on when I get some components. I heard these are great amps, the ones prior to the late 90's version. They are old school, but I was told by the audio shop never sell them haha.
