It looks killer.
I'll be watching closely for a ragtop, SS version.

I think it looks good, but it will likely change considerably before production(which may never happen). The sales target of 100,000 units isn't too much to ask imo, but that's a number not seen by the Camaro in well over a decade if my memory is right. Of course, they haven't sold them since '02, so that's part of it. But I think the last F-body combined for under 100,000 anually from like 94/5 on, and I'm not sure the 93 model hit that number either. There are more buyers now, so it's still possible. But alas, they have to build it before selling it. And seeing it expected in '09 is a bit saddening. I was hoping to see a new Camaro soon after the '02 model and expected one by '07.

I hope they keep the dash though. I really liked the 1st gen. all the way around and that will be a big plus to me. It needs desperately, to be a live axle too! I'm not interested in a plush ride of my pony cars or my pickup trucks, thanks. Use that on the 'Vette and Cadillacs forevermore, but leave it off the pony's.

What will they power it with? Possibly a 3.9L V6 for the base package. That will do and help keep pricing down. The Z/28 would surely get something closer to the 6.0L even if it is the base 'Vette powerplant. Afterall, if they make this platform in Australia, surely the 6.0L is a common powerplant. And the truck version won't work well for a car, so...
The other options are nearly endless frankly, so it doesn't matter much now.

Best wishes though, on GM actually making this model again. Ford, and I think even Dodge will await its arrival, selling like crazy while they do.
