Default Need help identifying a cable

I'm about to finish up my swap (v6 to v8)/frame off rebuild and I ran across the cable in the pics below. I need help identifying it. I've looked everywhere and have not been able to find anything. I also don't see a similar cable anywhere on my '01 Suburban. It looks very similar to the transmission cable, but is only about 2 foot long (camera in the pic for size reference).

Cables I've checked: (unless I installed wrong)
Transmission cable is currently installed and shifter works,
parking/e-brake cable is installed and working.
Hood latch cable is installed and working.

The truck is a '99 that had a v6. Wondering it is only related to the v6 somewhere or perhaps something with the seats (since the interior is gutted). Ideas?

If it's a transmission shift cable, is there supposed to be two, cause I already have the one going from the column shifter down to the tranny completely installed and functioning. The trans shifts when changing the column shifter from gear to gear. I suppose someone could have accidentally tossed this cable into my parts bins.

Looks like a f-body or s10 shift cable too short to be outta your truck.
