Default Need help!

My truck kept showing the codes for bad knock sensors and had a rough idle so i pulled the intake and replaced them and the intake manifold gaskets put it all back done this tons of times on mulitple trucks and now it wont idle for longer then 30 seconds and shuts off like it is dumping way to much fuel and it will have a random ping noise and so i pulled it back apart and the rear knock sensor didnt go down all the way tight the center of the knock sensor just spins in its outer shell and the exhaust dumps black smoke any idea what could be causeing all this ?

thanks

What are the codes now? Surely you have a pending code for a shorted injector circuit or something...

Black smoke generally means an injector is running wide open. I'd say go injector by injector and see if unplugging one makes a difference. Did you miss any connectors when you put the intake back on, or tear a wire in the harness where it comes behind the alternator?

That's fuel detonating, probably from a cylinder being overfueled.
