Default Need Advice on Visiting Ontario and New England

I'm trying to plan a trip for September 19th - 28th to visit the north east and Canada. For Canada I'd like to tie in Niagara Falls and Toronto (including the CN tower). For New England I'd like to tour upstate NY, VT, NH, and Maine. I'd would then drop down through MA, RI, CT and NYC. I've been to NYC several times before, but have only been to New England once before and it wasn't for sightseeing like it will be this time.

One route that I know I'm taking is the Kancamagus Hwy (hwy 112) in NH. What other sights and road trips would you suggest?

Well, if you want upstate Ny, take I-87 thruway from NJ all the way up to Quebec. If you want to see Ontario, you could take either I-88 or I-90 west and that will bring you into Buffalo/Niagara/Ontario etc.
I-88 is the southern route through the state and I-90 is the Northern route across. I-87 conects NYC to Plattsburg North to south.
I-90 east brings you into Mass all the way to Boston.
If you want Mountains/Lakes and beutiful country than you can't beat the Adirondaks in Northern NY. I have been to Mass, VT and Ct and it was also a nice ride.

Thanks for the info Creederado! My wife is from Long Island and we've been through the Catskills but never made it up to the Adirondacks. That's a nice view and a nice truck!
