Default My Trans Cooler Upgrade Derale #13503

Okay. So I know everyone on this site has a hard on for the TruKool 40k. With that being said, I feel it may be over kill for some of us and its a pricey upgrade (~$150).

I decided to go a different route an bought a Derale 8000 Series Plate and Fin #13503. The cooler costs roughly 45 dollars, and includes hose and hose clamps. This cooler is roughly 2.5 times the size of the stock cooler. And was easy as hell to install!

I removed the stock cooler
Flipped the bottom cross member piece and drilled two mounting holes.
Then used the hose and hose clamps to easily connect to the stock lines.

I also added two pieces of aluminum strapping connecting the upper stock mounting holes to the cooler (not in pic)

I think it came out nice and cost me only 50 bucks. $45 for cooler and $5 for the strapping/ misc hardware.

I know some have been skeptical about hose clamps holding, and I guess only time will tell if they hold up. But in all honesty the hardest part of the install was sliding the hose over the stock lines, so I can't imagine them slipping off any time soon.

So let me know what you guys think.
