Default Question what is the button that is right of the climate controls in this photo?

The button is for the shocks, supposed to loosen them up for off road. I have a vmax and havent really noticed a differance.

you will notice a HUGE difference when you have a load in the back or are towing....honestly if you do either this option is key..does wonders for a bouncing back end.

P.S. Mine has almost 1K on it. I LOVE my new truck.

I don't believe the issue is so much the gear as it is the 4x4 compared to 4x2.

I just took delivery on a new Black 06 GMC vmax with the 3.73 rear and the ride control. I can tell a SIGNIFICANT difference when it's activated. To test it, disable it....driving about 35-40 mph on an open road move the wheel back and forth like you would on a slolum course....reach over and activate it and do it again. Body roll is GREATLY reduced. It definitely improves handling. While just cruising the ride is quite a bit rougher when it's activated.
