Yeah, I may have one here too but the more the merrier!!! I'd love it if you and Nonnie came down, what truck would yall be bringing? I'm going to be getting tools and parts all laid out this week so all I gotta do is pull the truck in and get to it.

Oil pressure sender is on the list... Temp sensor for the driver side head???

At the very least, build an RTV "dam" around the knock sensors to keep water from getting down in the knock sensor holes and causing future problems. (Do the dam if you change them or not)

Yea, I did the "dam" when I did my swap:

That PITA oil pressure sensor is also a good one to get since your there:

Not sure if you have considered the LS6 valley cover or not but it is a good way to control your oil vapor in the crank case venting system. Now would be the time to do it:

Just dropped $335 at Summit not bad considering what I got:

ARP long crankshaft bolt
ARP flexplate bolts
ARP converter bolts
New GM water pump
New 160 thermostat w/housing
Temp sensor for driver side head
And a chrome LS1 dipstick & tube

The damn crank bolt was 27 bucks....

But I still need basically all the fluids, intake/exhaust gaskets, couple hoses, and a few misc items.... Probably another $200 worth, but I think these kinds of things will keep me from chasing down little gremlins a few months down the road...

Ill have more people there this time Carey than when the turbo went in so I will definitely be able to take more pics... Like I said, I've already swapped this motor a thousand times in my head and I think I've got everything covered.

If someone can give me a basic sequence of what needs to happen when I'm sure it will go a lot faster. The turbo kit will add a few steps. I'm going to try and dismantle as little piping as possible... Ill probably start getting fluids tomorrow.... Ill just run by the parts house as soon as I get off work in the morning.

Well after an expensive trip to advance auto, I've got this stuff too....

Case of 10w-40 castrol (dino oil)
2 K&N oil filters
3gal Dex-cool
3qt Lucas 75-90 gear lube
10qt Dexron III
1 gal power steering fluid
Red & blue loc-tite
Red and grey RTV
All the misc intake/exhaust gaskets I was missing
Trans filter/gasket kit

-and somehow I forgot fresh spark plugs I have to go get all the gaskets that they had to order this morning, ill pick up a couple sets of plugs then...

I think that covers it

So, for basically $4,300, I'm getting a brand new forged 5.7L longblock, brand new PI converter, Tru-trac (~500 miles) fresh fluids in EVERYTHING, gotta love bargain shopping on PT.net!!!! Lol .... I don't mind listing cost on any of my builds or projects, this is real info people need to know when they look at doing a turbo build, motor swap, or upgrade in general, usually there's a ton of little things that add up and frustrate you along the way... I'd be happy to itemize it further...

Off topic but:
Yea. If you seen the "Extreme sitting" Thread in Multimedia you'll see how long my hair is. little longer when i straighten it. Curls like a **** if i dont.
I've decided that since I only cut my hair once a year. I'm going to start donating it when I cut it. Minimum length is 10". Give me an excuse to let it grow a little longer. Always wondered what i'd look like with long hair.
