I cant believe you guys are bitching about it having a nicer interior
I think its about time chevy stepped up to the rest of the industry I really like the new look, the interior is 10X better than what it was look at what fords redesigned interior did for thier trucks, we are the last to get this

Interior will look good if they use substantially high-quality materials. (Whereas the current truck interior looks good with the cheap materials they use). If they use the standard cheap materials, I'll hate it. I can't stand most fake wood, especially large expanses of fake wood.

Did have the urge to customize one today:

I agree with some of the comments: It looks like a Trailblazer front and an Explorer rear. Not really to my liking, but I will say this: Kudos to GM for finally doing a true redesign of a truck interior. Whether it is good looking or not.

Default Nice Upgrades!

I wish they would have developed a 5 spd. 4L65E tranny for this truck. This would also improve MPG and we wouldn't be playing catch up with the JAPS.
They already have 5 spd autos in their PUs and SUVs(Honda, Toyota and Nissan). I wonder how the D.O.D. engine will effect towing ability? I'm very impressed with new stiffer frame and like the new interior. Front Coil springs should improve ride and the rack and pinion steering will also improve handling and feedback. Ford and Dodge already use rack and pinion on their trucks. For those of us who tow or carry heavy loads, I'm glad they stayed with a solid rear axle. I'll sacrafice a little ride quality for better load hauling capabilities anytime.

What Toyota calls a 5 speed is really a 4 speed like the GM stuff...they consider lock-up 5th speed
