anybody ever heard of this happening before with moogs? i never thought it would just snap. and they have only been in for maybe a week. you think moog or car quest will cover damages?

well geico told me they would cover it. i been with them for 5 years and never did anything but send them money. i dont have the cash off hand to fix everything let alone how bad the bumper/ brackets are bent form the tow truck pulling it up.

so the adjuster will write a check? then ill cash it fix caliper, rotor, balljoint, get my allignment done on warrenty. then use rest of money for new wheel and getting bumper done. but thats how it works right?? im thinking my deductable will offset me doing the mechanical labor.

How extreme are you ball joint's operating angles, with however you lowered your truck?

to be honest i dont know. but my allignment specs are all well in factory. there spot on really nothing on the edge, all right in there.

but i have 89,000 on my truck. the past 5 months i drove on stock balljoints with it lowered. now i replace with new moogs and one snaps!

front is mcquaghys 2 inch spindles and eibach keys decranked a little bit. with belltech 2 degree upp control arm bushings to get specs right.

the balljoint is sheered right off where the top of the spindle would be. im going to dealership tomorrow(really good paint work and oem parts for front bumper) and ill get really good pictures of the damage

just makes me nervous now ill always be thinking what if one breaks now. good thing is though i was headed back to the house this morning to put my servo and 40k trans cooler on. im glad it happen then and not when im on a back road running it hard seeing how it runs
