I'm heading to Vancleave Friday. We are going to the track Saturday night(just to find it and check it out). We're probably going to be there about 12:30 or 1:00 on Sunday. If my friend has a grill at his house, I'll try to get him to bring it. We're also bringin the banshee to see what it'll do and maybe finally sell it. I plan on staying there pretty much all day. Can't wait to see some "fast" gm trucks run.

 

the last time i went there, i got there as soon as the gates opened and we didn't start racing till 2. we ended up waiting on an ambulance to get there. overall, the track is nice. we will have almost the entire place to park. most big dog types park close to the main grandstand by the starting line. i suggest we park by the bleachers that is around the 1/8th mile mark. you can't miss it. kenny and i will probably get there around 2 or so. i just hope i can get my gears in by the time we go.

 

Gears? Come on man give me a chance here Oh, well, maybe somebody stock will show up and give me a chance. Maybe I'll just pick on my friends big *** Z71 all day. Gotta keep my spirits up.

 

don't worry man, i am just going to 3.73. i figure with all the hwy miles i drive, i should stick with something that will keep some mileage. i want 4.10's but i drive to damn much for em. i just hope this cold spell last. if this is how it is gonna be, expect some good times.

 

I think it is going to warm up through the week
Fingers crossed it doesnt...would be nice for it to be in the mid 50's.
I'll plan on getting there between 1:30-2:00 also.
Might be bringing several people with me if they dont bail out on me

 

I like that spot right at the end of the bleachers. If a few folks can get there early and park about 4 trucks wide, we can get three deep in there once everyone shows up.

Anybody know what the weather looks like for Sunday? It's still pretty damn hot here during the day, but cools off at night. Just need to know if rain is a possibility. That's a pretty long trip to make just to be rained out.
