Default Mirror Temp/Compas

It stopped working a few months ago and I didn't see any blown fuses. Exactly which fuse goes to the mirror. Of thats not the problem I'll likely start with the sensor and then the mirror.

It does not light up at all. Only the Airbag portion works.

Sorry I can't help, but interested to see if you find out anything. Mine has been intermittently not working. Of course I only drive my truck about 2 days a week now that I can carpool to work with my wife, but it seems to not want to work the first time I drive it now. Then after I have gone somewhere, shut the truck off and come back later it works again. I have also found that when I use my cheapo GPS unit the compass starts reading wrong.

All the ones that came to my service dept. over the years for not working at all, were simply turned off. When I asked them to show me the problem, I pushed the switch to turn it back on every time.

Maybe somebody bumped your switch?

I NEVER thought of that. I could have done it one day when cleaning the mirror. With the truck off i wouldn't have noticed. Holy **** what a stupid fix.

Cheap fix tho.

How about this one. When I HOLD Comp/Temp buttons for a few seconds the display on the mirror changes to a small Z and then you can push comp to go from 1-15. Whats up with that?

Nevermind. Found it:

my Electrochromic portion was off too. That was annoying

Hold down the COMP button until the display flashes the number 1. then hit comp until it gets to 6

You may need to recalibrate it if it says CAL but 6 is the setting for oklahoma based on the earths magnetic field

Ya I did all that and it reads fine as long as my GPS unit isn't turned on underneath of it.
For some reason the GPS unit screws with it. I don't use the GPS very often though.
