Message from GM rep about the Toyota "see-saw" ad

Im glad some of this "new tundra" stuff has been shot down, ill stick with my GM products. I also like the fact that they use a 6 speed auto, but still get worse mileage than our 4 speed auto. GM is already ahead of them, just imagine a year or two down the road when the 6 speeds are put in every GM truck.

bash it if you want, GM doesnt offer loaner cars or pay for rentals if your **** breaks under warranty, just so they can save a little money. The only other car makers that do that are Hyaundia and Kia. SHITTY move GM!!!
That Toyota powertrain may or may not be as reliable as the LSx we have, but at least Toyota is giving the consumer what they want, there biggest best engine, a 6 speed auto, low gears, and make it available in what ever cab/bed you want.
Basicaly, we tell GM what we want and they give us 1,000,000 reasons we cant have it. Toyota just says you got it. At least there trying................

All ads are misleading. It probably is a better truck. They have a good rep for durability and they wanted to make something to beat not just domestics but the other Jap trucks too. Hopefully the big 3 will try to meet or exceed it.
I wish it was a GM truck. That set-up in a RCSB would be a lot of fun.
They still don't make dualies and other really big trucks so tradesmen still have better offerings from "domestics".

EVERYONE uses misleading commercials, get over it. The Tundra looks to be a great truck, just like the new GM trucks look to be great. As far as MPG ratings, the ratings are all BS, the only one I care about is how the truck is on gas when I drive it.

Yea I will give it to them they are thinking outside the box, but why sell something that just sounds good but doesn't perform. Reliability is the key factor to any purchasing any truck or car for that matter.
I think they just need a big *** boat hooked up on the test drives of these toyota trucks to show you if they really perform like the commercial

those toyotas look ugly as sin... drove along with one for a bit today... i would love to have a 6.0 in my truck from the factory tho which is basically what you can do with the toyota... i wouldnt mind the 6 speed either.... but i want a 6 spd manual personally... and the brake commercial makes me laugh every time..... the surface area isnt that much different because it looks like the hub mounting area has a larger radius on the tundra's brake..

Without competition like this coming down the pike, GM would never have developed a light duty truck transmission that can actually handle the torque put out by the great Gen III motors, our only option would continue to be 4L60E's and engines detuned with TM because no one offered a better alternative. Get the 6L80E in a 1500, put down 25 mpg highway and everyone will forget about the Tundra. In the meantime, there are some features that the other FS truck makers have yet to match, so Toyota is beating that drum while it can.

I knew that commercial was fake when I first saw it. Anyone that tows a 10K lbs trailer knows that, heck even anyone that tows a trailer would know. When you tow, you know how much your rig weighs. That trailer was too small to equate to 10K lbs alone.
