Default LSX and gas mileage

I would like to put a lsx in a non lsx car and what i would like to know is at what point do the performance upgrades start to reduce gas mileage? From i have read most get mid 20's with moderate driving and what i'm looking to get is 300-350hp. Would this harm the mileage?

Look at the vettes the make a **** load of power and get descent mileage.

I all depends on the car, trans, gear ratios, weight, and aerodynamics.

What car and motor?

Also do some searching on the car site. https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-hybrids-28/

I want a family type car. I was looking along the lines of a Catera or an older Jaguar XJ6. I will use a 4l60e trans with the stock rear also.

Did you do a search on here for MPG?
consider this. Most trucks on here weigh 4500-5500lbs and are getting 18-20mpg. With cam, tune and 4.10 gears on 20"s

I think mileage starts to really decrease with the addition of a stall, which is needed is trucks to get moving well. So in a car with light or stock stall, a cam, longtubes and other bolt ons will keep good mileage.

My camaro used to get around 18-20 with a cam, 3.73s, and vig3600..
I just sold my TA, and it got 26 highway, but it was a 6 speed, right at 400rwhp, but it was a 6 speed.
You can get roughly 20mpg in a cammed car, but trucks seem to eat it up
