Default ls1edit duplication?

is it possible to make a copy of the program? i'm sure it wouldn't be as easy as copy/paste, but what stands in the way?

yes you can copy the program i could email you it as we speak. but to get it to work you have to have the cable. the cable has a little box that makes every thing work. the little box stores vin numbers and will hold up to 4 if you pay for them this leting you use it on 4 vehicles. but it locks the vin number in so like mine will only work for my truck.

Wont work. The whole key to LS1Edit is their cable interface. If you could reverse engineer the interface out of you Hypertech and get it to work with a serial/usb port, you would be golden.

The cable IS edit. That is pretty much what you pay for. The software except for being for year/s specific is "generic".

Unless you find somebody willing to let you jump in on there cable you're pretty much stuck paying full price.

THERE IS NO AFTERMARKET CABLE OR INTERFACE BOX AVAILABLE FOR LS1EDIT !!!!....I have a useless retail (ebay) copy of Edit sitting on my desk beacuse my interface box got destroyed and carputing WILL NOT replace interface boxes (that is there perogative...no hard feeling here), they also will not sell you a new cable or interface box...you HAVE to buy the package again....(just their company policy....I would do the same if I were them)

Andrew at AKM cables builds the interface boxes for Carputing but WILL NOT build a box for ANYONE else....EVER, FOR ANY REASON (again..that's his perogative....I understand)

If you want Edit...YOU HAVE TO BUY IT...sorry

There IS a rumor that someone else is putting together an editing package as well....but until I see it LS1Edit is the only choice available

*and please don't dig up the old issue about my cable....it's done....I'm just passing on the info that I recieved from Andrew and others)*
