Default ls1 or LQ4

I currently am in the market for buying a new motor. Which do you guys think is the best bang for the buck?

Let me add it's going into a 2000 RegularCab 2wd silv.

from what ive heard the ls1's get better gas milage, they are a bit lighter and have the same power output. the 6.0 blocks are stronger and can go to higher displacements if you ever plan to do so. not that 5.7 guys are screwing up blocks daily but strength was a tradeoff for the aluminum. if you dont plan on going bigger i would just buy whatever you can get cheapest IMO.

Take your pick they are both good engines, but the 6.0 has more cubes, you can usually pick them up for cheaper..
