That looks great! Both the Tahoe and the engine. I am over 4 years into my swap lol. It snowballed a bit. In for progress and results!

 

Nice truck man!! I'm currently working on a 6.0 in a 98 crew cab truck that had a 5.7 vortec but need help with the wiring. Not trying to high Jack your thread either

 

I'm no help with the 96 and up wiring. Mine is a 94 and its different.

Great looking Tahoe, was looking for one myself to swap but I just wrapped up a lq4/4l80E on my 92 Silverado RCSB. Any info on the speedo, tach, and check engine light wiring? Thanks in advance.

 

I ran the tach wire from my LS Computer to the factory tach wire in the dash on my truck. And for VSS mine is a 4wd so I tied into the green/purple wires on my 94 harness. Check engine light I traced back to the back of the cluster and spliced the CEL wire into it behind the cluster. Hope that helps

 

Do you know of any schematic for the factory harness?
