I don't see anything wrong with lowering a 4x4. Not everyone requires offroad ground clearance, and not everyone likes to go mudding. If I lived up North, and I wanted a lowered truck, I'd do exactly as quicksilver did above. 4x4 offers much better traction in snow and foul weather.

Down here in the South however, its typically seen as a waste of money to buy a 4x4 to lower it, since it doesn't snow and we don't have hills.

Quicksilvers truck looks very clean. I'm not one for body cladding but that is one sweet ride!

As for lowering a 4x4 it's all a matter of opnion. I used to think it was stupid. BUT for racing, or for people who live in areas with bad weather then it's not so stupid. Then again I'm not one to talk since the only time my truck goes offroad is when i am trying to reach a particular fishing spot.

im not sure!!! my whole truck is blue and pewter i think the front end being white would be a little .


F8LPONY deffently the only offroad use is to get to fishing or hunting spots. i mudded it twice when i had my bfg all terains, what a pain to clean. that has been about a year ago and it seems like everytime i get under there i find chucks of old mud. i have deffently cleaned the underbody good well i though good!

If you are making some serious power, 4wd is a big bonus. Look at Parish8's launch in his video...he's running A/T truck tires and leaps off the line. The only way to match that in a truck is with some stickys and a good suspension set-up (HALs & bars).

 

I live up north, and everybody is so scared about taking thier late-model truck offroading. So ends up being me that romps through the mud and weeds.
I think that looks sweet.
I am definitely doing that to my next truck.
